The following routine morning exercise routine is beginner and home friendly. It consists of body weight exercises and targets your whole body. If you would like to add some difficulty you can add some weight in the form of dumbbells or even a body weight vest.
1. Push ups
-How to perform a push up: Start in a high plank position. Keep your core tight and lower your body until your arms bend at about a 90 degree angle then come back up the starting position. A correct regular push ups keeps arms closer to your sides, imagine a 45 degree angle.
2. Chest expansions
-How to perform chest expansions: Start standing up with your arms together and straight out in front of you. Imagine you are holding a band and pull your arms out to your sides into a a T-pose.
3. Good mornings
-How to perform good mornings: Start standing up with your hands to your sides or clasped together. Keep your knees just slightly bent. While keeping your back straight you are going to bend forward, hinging and the hip until your chest is parallel to the ground. Come back up using the same motion, while also squeezing your glutes.
4. Squats
-How to perform a squat: Start in a standing position with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width. Keeping your shoulders back and your chest up, squat down until your hips are below your knees. Focus on mastering each movement one at a time until it feels natural.
Tip: Keep your booty back. To understand if are far enough, imagine you are sitting in a chair.
5. Straight leg sit ups to leg raises
-How to perform a straight leg sit up: Lay flat on the ground. Tighten your core, and come up to a sitting position. Slowly lower yourself down, don’t just fall back.
-How to perform leg raises: Lay flat on the ground. Keep your core tight and raise your legs up into the air. Raise them high up and avoid bending too much at the knees.
